Our Problem & Our Responsibility

Our South Asian Community has many serious health issues in our multi-faith society.

Did you know ...
  1. We are 50% more likely to die from a heart attack than the rest of the UK population.

  2. More than 1/3 of us between the ages of 40-65 suffer from hypertension and diabetes.

  3. We represent 13% of all kidney patients waiting for transplants but only 1% of our community are organ donors.

What can we do ...
  • We should all be considering giving blood at least to the extent of our own needs. We should all consider carrying cards saying our organs can be donated for transplants.

  • We should participate generously in charity and donations.

  • It is time for us to take action and Play our Part.

Sooner or later it could be you or someone close to you needing vital support and care.
